About:
DesignCAD is a low cost, beginner level CAD design and drafting solution.
Goal:
The goal of this project was to create a packaging design that would take out the intimidation factor for first time CAD buyers and would accurately position this product as one step down from TurboCAD (a more advanced level of CAD design).
The packaging design is purposefully simple and clean so as to be "approachable" rather than advanced level and feature rich. The design was built to look and feel like a step down from the TurboCAD product packaging at the time—yet still unmistakably a part of the same product family and quality level.
