TurboCAD Mac v2 |
| About: TurboCAD is a professional level design and drafting software utilized by over 2 million drafting professionals worldwide. Goal: The goal of this project was to develop a packaging design that appealed to MAC customers and retailers, while still extracted elements of existing product packaging designed for the product's PC version. Because the product comprised of two increasingly advanced product versions, color was used to differentiate the various levels of features in each version. White was utilized for the beginner level and black for advanced. Cover images were also utilized to illustrate the level of drafting available with each product version. Per retailer requests, the packaging featured oversized logos and easy to see images, so they could be spotted and read even if sitting on the bottom shelf of a retail display. Matching CD label, user manual, desktop icons, file icons and product "splash screens" were created for each product version.
